What is Dream is Now Reality

My dreams have become my reality
My reality have become my dreams
I'm slipping ever forward into darkness
Into madness, I will descend
Every memory I have
Was it a dream?
Was it even real?
I can't be sure of that anymore
I keep confusing what's real
And what's fantasy
I keep repeating the same things over
And over
And over
And over again
Each time I expect different results
Is that not the definition of insanity?

My dreams
My reality
All blurred and meshed into one
As someone who's grown tired of the back and forth of my mind
I say let me rest
Let me have a sense of what is real
I beg of you
But no
I will continue to decay into my own insanity
And if there's one thing I've learned from all this
Is that everyone follows a simple rule

You either die knowing what was real;
Or live long enough to spiral into madness.
